Museum thanks Funders

Haslemere Museum is grateful to the Community Foundation For Surrey and the Haslemere Challice Community Fund for providing a grant to support a fundraising post at the Museum for twelve months. The post holder, Sharon Frankland, recently completed her time in the role and was formally thanked by Museum Chairman, Melanie Odell MBE, at a gathering of trustees and staff. Sharon undertook work to expand the Museum’s capacity to fundraise across a range of sectors. The post has also enabled fundraising targeted at projects that increase access to the Museum for groups with physical, learning and health issues. Overall, the fundraising role has facilitated strategically planned growth, implemented best practice and fostered new opportunities for the Museum.

Museum Curator, Julia Tanner, stated, “We wish to thank the Community Foundation For Surrey and the Haslemere Challice Community Fund for supporting this fundraising role at the Museum. Our thanks also go to Sharon for her hard work and contribution to the Museum’s development’.
